All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Ben Perry Folk - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal April 15, 1971 Ben Perry Folk dies at 81; rites held here Funeral services for former Madison Parish police juror Ben Perry Folk, 81, of Tallulah, were held at 10 a. m. Wednesday at the Presbyterian Church here with the Rev. Nat Heeth officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Folk died early Tuesday at Newellton Hospital following a long illness. He was a native of Pomeria, S. C. and had resided here for 56 years. He was a planter and a charter member of the Tallulah Presbyterian Church where he became a ruling elder in 1928. Survivors include three sons, Jack Folk, Jim Folk, both of Tallulah, and Dr. Ben Perry Folk of Jackson, Miss.; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Booth of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Carrie Haas of Columbia. S. C.; a brother, Jim Folk of Pomeria. S. C.; and 15 grandchildren. Pallbearers were George Spencer, Malcolm Sevier, Jim Sevier, Barton Sevier, A. L. Sevier, Jr., and H. C. Sevier, Jr.
