Fondren - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal September 30, 1998 Funeral services for Mrs. Flora A. Fondren, age 79, of Tallulah, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home, with the Rev. Greg Nichols officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mrs. Fondren died Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, in the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah. She was born in Mississippi and had lived in Madison Parish for 69 years. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Tallulah. Survivors include one brother, Charlie E. Jobe of Tallulah; and two half-sisters, Florence Williams and Nanny Sanderson. both of Vicksburg, Miss. Pallbearers were Ray Jobe, Larry Jones, Bernie Jobe, Newtie Simmons, William Earl Fondren and Lloyd Ray Fondren. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home was in charge.
