Fortner - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 29, 1979 The funeral of Douglas A. Fortner, Jackson, Miss. was held in Trinity Episcopal Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Joel Treadwell officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home Mr. Fortner died Sunday at his residence after a sudden illness. He was a former Tallulah resident. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Ellen C. Fortner of Monroe; a brother, James C. Fortner of Monroe; and a nephew. Pallbearers were R. C. Todd, Billy Post, M. C. Sevier, J. O. Pemberton, Andrew L. Sevier, and Aubrey Young.
