A memorial service for James C. (Jim) Fortner will be held August 8, 2005 at 3:00 PM at Grace 
Episcopal Church.

Jim was born in Tallulah, LA April 13, 1927 and passed away in Monroe, July 21, 2005. He enjoyed 
many years in Monroe as a Insurance Agent. He was a graduate of Tallulah High School and LA. State 
University.

Jim is survived by one son, James C. Fortner, Jr., Atlanta, GA; an aunt Carolyn Morris, god child, 
Kindra Corder Tietz, special family friends, Doug Dunn, Pam Corder, Ferdie Hochenedel, Sylvia Thompson, 
the "Uptown Ladies Group", many business associates, and a host of friends who has fond memories of him.
