Gloria Jean Foslin, 59, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed from this earthly life to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ as a result of metastatic breast cancer on Thursday October 26, 2017. Gloria was born September 17, 1958 in Tallulah, LA. She attended Poly Tech High School in Fort Worth, graduating in 1977. Following graduation, she work at Harris Hospital in the file room, moving on to become a certified Sonographer, most recently working at Medical City North Hills, Richland Hills TX. Her son, Fred Spencer, was born April 1, 1988. On December 31, 1997 she married Mark Foslin. Her family meant everything to her, and one of her greatest joys was to cook for her family and friends. She was an avid fan of Payton Manning and the Denver Broncos, but she enjoyed all sports. Gloria always had a smile on her face and will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her.

 

She is survived by her husband, Mark Foslin; son, Frederick D. Spencer Jr.; sisters: Vera Davis, Ora L. Scott, Ida Bailey, and Shirley Moore; brothers, Roosevelt Bailey, Billy Bailey; brother-in-law, Tim Foslin; sister-in-laws, Susan Foslin, Jane (Doug) Zilliox; nephews Andrew Foslin, Sean Ryan; nieces: Jessica Foslin, Hannah Zilliox, Daniella Foslin, Amelia Zilliox and Marissa Zilliox; uncles aunts and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Mae Harris, sisters Emma Williams, Flora Jones; brother, Ester Bailey Jr.; mother in law, Irene Foslin.

 

Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017, at First St. John Baptist Church, 2401 E. Berry St., Fort Worth, TX 76105. Visitation: 6:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. at First St. John Baptist Church.
