C. Foster Dies Following lengthy Illness Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p. m., for Isaac Clinton Foster, 54, who died Sunday following a lengthy illness. Mr. Foster was born in Plain Dealing and became an employee of United Gas in July 1936. He subsequently was assigned work at compressor stations in Rodessa and Sterlington. For the past four years he had lived here and was an engineer at the Tallulah compressor station operated by United Gas Pipeline Company. He was a Mason and a member of the First Baptist Church. Last rites were conducted at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lucian Conway officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Foster is survived by his widow, the former Vivian McDermott, Tallulah; a son, W. C. "Billy" Foster, Tallulah ; four brothers, Guy Foster, Albany, N. Y., H. D. Foster, Syracuse, N. Y., MeIton Foster, Plain Dealing and D. E. Foster, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. Susie F. Beaty, Carthage, Texas, and Mrs. Gladys Nicewarmer, Benton; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Foster, Plain Dealing; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were R. F. Stephenson, B. D. Holloway, M. F. Shelton, Jr., J. M. Maynor, H. N. Naff and V. W. Bachur.
