All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Mattie Miles Freeman - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, June 1, 1988 Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Miles Freeman, 67, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Guy officiating. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Freeman died Friday in the Madison Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Richland Parish and had lived in Madison Parish for 65 years. Mrs. Freeman was a housewife and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include two sons, Rimes R. Freeman of Vidalia and Tommy W. Freeman of Tallulah; three daughters, Ella R. Price of Vicksburg, Rowena M. Johnson and Peggy S. Manuel, both of Grand Prairie, Tex.; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were J. P. Johnston, Ted Hutchinson, Mitch Hopkins, Warren Hopkins, James Still and Dan Purvis. Honorary pallbearers were Sidney Johnson, Dr. L. P. Neumann and Herbert Massey.
