Furello - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Scranton (PA) Times February 27, 2009 Joseph L. Furello, 63, of Tallulah, La., and formerly of Dunmore, died Monday at home following a lengthy illness. Born in Dunmore, son of the late Rocco and Jane Furello, he attended Dunmore elementary schools and graduated from Scranton Technical High School. He was an Army veteran, serving in Korea. He was employed in the hospitality business and managed the Holiday Inns of Dunmore, Wilkes-Barre, Mount Pocono and Harrisburg. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Surviving are three children, Rocco A. Furello, Tallulah; Danielle Furello, Swiftwater; and Josette Gesualdi and husband, Craig, Tobyhanna; a brother, Rocco Furello and wife, Josephine, Dunmore; a sister, Lois Cianflone and husband, Tony, Dunmore; five grandchildren, Heather, Angela and Anthony Furello, all of Tallulah; and Craig and Matthew Gesualdi, both of Tobyhanna; nieces and nephews including Debra and Tony Cianflone, both of Dunmore; Rocco Cianflone, Scranton; Richard Furello, Rockvale, Tenn.; and Jill McDonough and Rocco Furello, both of Dunmore; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Local arrangements by the Morell-LaBelle Funeral Home, 301 Chestnut St., Dunmore.
