Furr - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 1, 1970 James E. Furr Dies Following Brief Illness James E. Furr, 84, died early Wednesday morning in a Vicksburg hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Furr was a native of Attala County, Mississippi and was a resident of Madison Parish for the past fifty years. Before his retirement he was a planter and elder of the First Presbyterian Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 308 and Royal Arch Chapter No. 67. Survivors: Two sons, Louis Furr of Torrance, California and James Furr of Delhi; One daughter, Mrs. Grace Mitchell of Tallulah; Five grandchildren and one great grandchild. At press time funeral arrangements were incomplete.
