All rights reserved. ************************************************ Roberta “Beta” Sevier Gandy - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, January 9, 2006 TALLULAH - Roberta “Beta” Sevier Gandy died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, at Olive Branch Nursing Home in Tallulah. She was 81. Mrs. Gandy was born in Tallulah and was a lifelong resident. She was a retired librarian assistant from Madison Parish Library and a homemaker. She was a member of Tallulah Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bo” Wyly Gandy Jr.; one son, Robert W. Gandy III; three daughters, Retta Gandy, Katherine Sherrill Gandy and Sally Gandy; and one sister, Carolyn Sevier Yerger Ratcliff. Survivors include one brother, Henry C. Sevier Jr. of Covington; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tallulah Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ferre D'Cruz officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah. Visitation will be from 1 until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Pallbearers will be Rufus Yerger Jr., Henry Clay Sevier III, Thomas Bishop, James Tucker, Joseph Mann, Thomas Favrot Jr., Gary Elkins and Thomas Gandy Jr. Memorials will be made to the Tallulah Presbyterian Church or Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah.
