Gandy Jr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 1, 1987 Services for Mr. Robert W. Gandy Jr. 71, were at 2 p.m. Friday at the Tallulah First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Adrian Kolean officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home in Tallulah. Mr. Gandy died Wednesday, March 25 at the Madison Parish Hospital following a short illness. He was a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, a WWII Army Air Force Veteran, a retired Veteran Service Officer, a retired U.S. Postmaster, a member of the American Legion Post #100 and a member of the Tallulah First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Roberta S. Gandy of Tallulah; a daughter, Miss Retta Gandy of Tallulah; his mother, Ellen P. Gandy of Tallulah; two brothers, William Fredrick Gandy of Ferriday and Dr. Thomas Howard Gandy of Natchez; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Helen Loe of Tallulah and Mrs. Eleanor Terzia of Monroe and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were nephews.
