All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Catarino Garcia - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 18, 1982 Services for Catarino Garcia, were at 2 p.m. Saturday at United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah, under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Garcia died March 11 at Madison Parish Hospital after an illness. He was a native of Panaho, Xxx and was a resident of Tallulah for many years. He was also a retired xxxx and a member of Tallulah United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lucy Garcia of Tallulah; six sons, Joe Strickland of New York City, Wesley Strickland, Thomas Garcia, Andrew Garcia, Jimmy Garcia and Raymond Garcia, all of Tallulah; five daughters, Mrs. Frances DeLaFunte of Pasadena, Texas, Virginia Garcia, Ernestine Garcia, Teresa Garcia and Mrs. Francis Ghrigsby, all of Tallulah; and 25 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Arnold Eason, Floyd Williams, Virgil Thornton, Charles Smith, Albert Fondren and Meyer Armstrong.
