All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Robert "Bob" Gaumnitz - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal April 24, 1991 Funeral services for Mr. Robert "Bob" Gaumnitz, 69, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ramon Warren officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Gaumnitz died Friday at St. Frances Medical Center in Monroe following a lengthy illness. He was a native of South Dakota and had been a resident of Madison Parish for the past 50 years. He was first lieutenant in the Air Force, a veteran of World War II, a Shriner, a Master Mason, a member of the American Legion Post No. 100 and Madison Chapter No. 94 of the Eastern Star. Mr. Gaumnitz was past president of the Louisiana Aerial Applicators, former owner of Farm Air Service and was a professional aerial applicator. He was a former alderman of the Village of Richmond and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Alice G. Gaumnitz of Tallulah; one son, Freddie Gaumnitz of Tallulah; one daughter, Cathy G. Copes of Tallulah; his father, Federick Gaumnitz of Tokyo, Japan; two brothers, Fritz Gaumnitz of Chowchilla, Calif. and Thomas G. Gaumnitz of West Monroe; one sister, Betty Nanette Gaumnitz of Chowchilla; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dick Brown, Tommy Wixson, Robert Jackson, John Earl Martin, Johnny Goss and Bill Yerger. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Tallulah Masonic Lodge, the American Legion Post No. 100, the Louisiana Aerial Applicators, Luther Bishop, Joe Reynolds, Harris Wise, Harry Don Morton, Bill Eaker; Walter Craig, Don Rich, Albert Paxton, Warren Patrick, Ralph Livingston, Jake Dillard, Jack Hardin and Bill Colligan.
