(Clyde) Gayle - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal February 26, 1970 Final Rites Held For H. C. Gayle Funeral Services were held for Mr. H. C. (Clyde) Gayle, 69, at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Crothers Funeral Home here with the Rev. Grover Smith officiating. Burial was in Providence Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Gayle died early Friday morning at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Miss. after a long illness. Mr. Gayle, a Madison Parish resident for 28 years, and Waterproof, Louisiana was a member of the Baptist Church and was a farmer and a retired manager of Bedford Plantation. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Martha E. Gayle of Tallulah; four sons. Steve Gavle. John Gayle, Kenneth Gayle and Frank Gayle, all of Tallulah; two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Benhard of Jackson, Miss, and Mrs. Sandra Herman of Tallulah; two brothers; N. C. Gayle and C. D. Gayle, both of Waterproof, two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Marron, Waterproof and Mrs. Marguerite McDaniel of Sandersville, Miss., and four grandchildren.
