Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Edward "Ed" Ghrigsby, age 83, of Tallulah, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 21, 2023, at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with Bro. Larry Linson officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Faith Memorial Park Cemetery in Delhi, Louisiana.

Mr. Ghrigsby died August 18, 2023, at Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe, Louisiana. He was born in St. Joseph, Tennessee, on November 9, 1939, and had lived in Madison Parish the majority of his life. On September 15, 2019, at the age of 79 years, he professed Jesus Christ as Lord of his life and became an active member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Monroe, Louisiana. He was in the US Navy, he was an OTR truck driver, and diesel mechanic. He enjoyed Bee Keeping, and was an active member of the National Federation of the Blind where he received training in reading and writing braille, along with his companion, Bingo, his seeing eye dog.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Turner and Lorine Ghrigsby; his son, Thomas Edward "Tommy" Ghrigsby, Jr; brother, Franklin D Ghrigsby; and sister, Peggy Jobe. 

He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Hodge and husband Toney, Katherine Rundell, Beverly Humphreys and husband Paul, Elizabeth Ferguson and husband David.  He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; bothers, James W "Jim", Larry J, and Herman L Ghrigsby; sister, Dean Piekarski; along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Micheal Hodge, Dustin Rundell, and Jonathan Rundell, and nephews, Joe Jobe, Jimmy Jobe, and Tim Jobe.
