Gilfoil III - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 13, 1991 Funeral services for Mr. James H. Gilfoil III, 71, of Lake Providence, were held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church of Lake Providence with Rev Jim Downs officiating. Burial was in Lake Providence City Cemetery under direction of Cox Funeral Home. Mr. Gilfoil died Sunday in Jackson, Miss. He was a native of Lake Providence and a Marine veteran of World War II. He had been chairman of the Tallulah branch and a member of the Board of Directors of the First South Production Credit Association. He served several terms on the East Carroll Parish Police Jury and was a member of the Board of Directors of the First National Bank of Lake Providence. Survivors include his wife, Rose Wyly Gilfoil of Lake Providence; two sons, Dr. James H. Gilfoil IV of New Orleans and Wyly Gilfoil of Lake Providence; one daughter Anne Gilfoil Morillo of New Orleans; three sisters, Helen Davis and Alice Burgoyne, both of Baton Rouge and Coralie Montgomery of Tallulah; and eight grandchildren.
