All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Mary Agnes Hamley Gilfoil - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal November 16, 1994 Services for Mary Agnes Hamley Gilfoil were held Saturday, Nov. 12, at the St. Edward's Catholic Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Gerald Priest, the Rev. Louis Voorhies and the Rev. Ignatius Eckelkamp officiating. Burial was at Silver Cross Cemetery with Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah in charge. Rosary was at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home in Tallulah, followed by visitation from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Mrs. Gilfoil died Thursday, Nov. 10, 1994, at Methodist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 79. She was a member and organist for St. Edward's Catholic Church for 59 years, and served as the first president of the American Hereford Association Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, James Marion Gilfoil of Tallulah; three sons, James Patrick Gilfoil, William Riley Gilfoil II and John Winston Gilfoil, all of Tallulah; six daughters, Mary Agnes York of Jonesville, La., Dorothy Dyer and Margaret Yerger, both of Tallulah, Georgia Breard of Gulfport, Miss., Gail Snider of Keithville, La., and Susan Cangelosi of Covington, La.; three sisters, Anna Mae Farlow of Tallulah, Naomi Kitchens of Biloxi and Marie Dinger of Monroe, La.; and 17 grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons William Mitchell Gilfoil, James Marion Gilfoil II, James Gilfoil Dyer, Edward Scott Yerger, William David Yerger; John Winston Gilfoil Jr., Jason Thomas Gilfoil, William Riley Gilfoil III and Richard Adam Snider. Honorary pallbearers were Tom David, Pat Burns, Johnny Howarth, Bill Rolfe, Wayne Naugle, John Terrell, Dr. Dan Dare and Dr. Thomas A. Neumann. Memorials may be made to St. Edward's Catholic Church in Tallulah.
