Godwin died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, at her home in Tallulah. She was 69. Mrs. Godwin was born in Mena, Ark., and had lived in Tallulah for 31 years. She owned and operated BAG Pilot Car Escort Services and was a former State of Texas pilot car associate. She had also been a professional artist for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Tallulah Book Club, Garden Club and First Baptist Church and was former president of the Louisiana State General Federation of Women's Clubs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Maggie Terwilleger, and her husband, William M. “Bud” Godwin. Survivors include one son, Randy L. Godwin of Tallulah; two daughters, Carolyn Adair of Ripley and Sonya Pertuit of Slidell, La.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Tallulah with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Legion Cemetery in Newellton. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Bobby Jordan, Patrick Deville, Jeff McClure, Jimmy Adams Jr., Mike Adams and Bill Coon. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Ashley, Marvin Yahn, Raymond Yahn, Jody Edleston, Tim Adams and Tony Deville.
