Gordy - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal February 10, 1972 Rites held for Lloyd F. Gordy Lloyd F. Gordy, 64, of Tallulah, died in a Jackson, Miss. hospital late Saturday after a brief illness. Funeral services were at 2 p. m. Monday at the Tallulah Methodist Church with the Rev. J. D, Corley officiating. Burial will be in Providence Memorial Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Gordy was a native of Brook-haven, Miss., and had been a resident of Tallulah for 21 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church and manager of the Federal Compress Co. He was a veteran of WW II, member of the American Legion, a Mason and a Shriner. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Murial Gordy; one son, Ellis L. F. Gordy, both of Tallulah; one daughter, Mrs. Lynne Swan of Walker; his mother, Mrs. Lillian Gordy, and one brother, Chester Gordy, both of Pine Bluff, Ark. Pallbearers were Wayne Neuroth, Lewis Tonore, Billy DeMoss, John B. O'Shea, Jack Millikin and Shields Bray.
