All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Muriel Woodson Green - Madison Parish, Louisiana January 17, 1924 ~ March 7, 2021 (age 97) From Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home March 9, 2021 Mr. Muriel Woodson Green died Sunday, March 7, 2021, at the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah, Louisiana, at the age of 97, due a lengthy illness. He was born January 17, 1924, in Casper, Louisiana, to Henry and Georgie Green. Mr. Green lived in Tallulah, Louisiana, for the past 72 years. During WWII, he worked as a mechanic on airplanes in Utah. He later came to Barksdale Airforce Base in Shreveport, Louisiana. After that, he was employed by Tallulah Compress as a mechanic for 40 years wherein he later retired. He was an excellent carpenter and family man. Mr. Green was a member of First Baptist Church in Tallulah for over 70 years. Mr. Green is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Georgie Green; wife, Nancy Brasher Green; brother, Delmer K. Green; sisters, Mildred Green Godfrey and Eva Marie Green Gunnell; and niece, Carolyn Godfrey Wallace. He is survived by his son, Steve Green and wife, Charlotte, of Tallulah, Louisiana, and granddaughter, Nancy Elizabeth Green of Beardstown, Illinois. Also being left to cherish his memories are several loving nieces and nephews. He was deeply loved by close friends, Marcy Smith of St. Joseph, Louisiana; Casey Smith Beckley of Monroe, Louisiana; and Pam Bauser of Beardstown, Illinois. Visitation for Mr. Green will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah followed by a graveside service in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah at 2:00 PM for family and friends with Tim Mitchell officiating under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.
