R. Griffin Held Wednesday Funeral services for Al Ray Griffin, 64, who died early Monday at his home of a heart attack was held Wednesday morning at the First Baptist Church at 10:00 A. M. The Rev. Oster R. Daniels, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Masonic rites were conducted at the grave. Mr. Griffin was a native of Harrisonburg, Louisiana, and had resided in Tallulah since 1929. He was owner and manager of Acme Sheet Metal Works. He was a member of the Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 308 here and Royal Arch. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Robertson Griffin, a stepson, Archie Fairbanks of Tallulah, his mother, Mrs. Lily F. Griffin of Houston, Texas, three brothers, W. M. Griffin and J. O. Griffin of Ferriday, and Eugene V. Griffin of Houston, Texas and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were M. A. Wroten, E. V. Parker, Dick Horn, Manfred Gustafson, Robert E. Brown, Thomas Flurry, A. H. Harrop and J. C. Stocks. Honorary pallbearers were all friends of the family.
