All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Claude William Grimes Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post January 2, 2007 TALLULAH -- Claude William Grimes Sr. died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at Nichols Center Nursing Home in Madison. He was 90. Born in Pelahatchie, Mr. Grimes had lived in Tallulah most of his life. He was a retired U.S. Postal Service employee. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Tallulah Masonic Lodge No. 308. Survivors include his wife, Juel Mae Grimes of Madison; one son, Claude W. "Bill" Grimes Jr. of Tyler, Texas; three stepsons, John Mallett of Houston, Texas, Keith Mallett of Jackson and Chuck Mallett of Knoxville, Tenn.; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah with the Rev. John W. Rushing officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 until the service. Pallbearers will be Donald Herman, Charlie Herman and members of Tallulah Masonic Lodge No. 308.
