Grissom - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, December 9, 1987 Funeral services for Mr. J. B. Grissom, 71, were held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Grissom died early Friday near Port Gibson, Miss. after a sudden illness. He was a native of Texas, a farmer and attended the First Baptist Church in Tallulah. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vivian Grissom of Tallulah; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Richmond of Tallulah and Mrs. Jeannette Kellems of Greenville, Ms.; three brothers, Grady Grissom of Columbus, Ms., Onis Grissom of St. Joseph and Troy Grissom of Hayti, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Gola McFadden of Hayti, Mo. and Mrs. Lola Robinson of Waco, Tex.; his mother. Mrs. Cardelia Grissom of Columbus, Ms.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Shields Bray, Gayle Beard, Marshall Sevier, Lloyd Moore, Joe Cupit and Richard Thomas.
