All rights reserved. ************************************************ Herbert Boone Halbach - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News Star, March 1, 2004 Memorial services for Herbert Boone Halbach and his wife Carolyn Ramagos Halbach will be held Monday, March 1, 2004, at First Baptist Church of Tallulah, LA at 10 AM. Visitation will precede the service at 9 AM. Boone was born on September 4, 1930 and died Sunday, February 29, 2004. He was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church in Tallulah and he was a respected member of the community. His lifeÆs work included a position as teacher and coach at Tallulah High school, principal of Tallulah Elementary School, and parish supervisor. He retired as superintendent of Madison Parish schools. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Ramagos Halbach; parents, Joe and Jane Halbach of Memphis, TN; and brother, John Crenshaw Halbach. He is survived by his three daughters, Jody Hemphill and husband Tommy of Monroe, LA, Holly Barrett and husband Carey of Little Rock, AR, and Cally Hyams of Lafayette, LA; two grandsons, Boone and Hayden; and brothers, Joe Douglas Halbach of Hardy, AR, and Robert Thomas Halbach of Brandon, MS. His lifeÆs passions included teaching, golf, hunting, and reading. The loves of his l ife were his family and friends. He will be missed by all who loved him.
