All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Herbert Lafayette Hall Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Alexandria Town-Talk August 26, 2001 Services for Herbert Lafayette Hall Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Forest Lawn, Pineville. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Pineville. Hall Sr., 83, of Alexandria, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, in his residence. He was a native of Crossette, Ark. He attended West End Grammar, Menard High School and graduated from Bolton High School. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Lexington in World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He was a business owner in Tallulah and was an employee of the city of Alexandria. He was preceded in death by one brother, John Wesley "Red" Hall; one sister, Vera Posegay; and two grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Anita Dahlhauser Hall of Alexandria; one son, Herbert Lafayette "Donnie" Hall Jr. of Alexandria; three daughters, Charlene Burns of Baton Rouge, Patricia Carruth of Pineville and B.A. Stokes of Cotile; one step-son, Paul Lander Osteen of New Orleans; and 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jeff Burns, Jay Carruth, Joe Burns, Justin Burns, Rocky Stokes and Dustin Thompson. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time shortly before time of services Monday in the funeral home.
