All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Parvie Francis Hargon, Jr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 21, 1971 Parvie Hargon, local dairyman, dies Monday Parvie Francis Hargon, Jr. died suddenly Monday, January 18, of an apparent heart attack. He was 62 years old. He was born in Camden, Miss., May 17, 1908, the son of the late Catherine Donohoe and Parvie Francis Hargon. Hargon moved to Tallulah in 1929 and married the former Florence Wallace. He was a prominent planter and dairyman. He was a member of the Catholic Church and the North Louisiana Pure Milk Association. A Rosary was said Tuesday, January 19 at 7:30 p. m. at Crothers Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 20, in St. Edwards Catholic Church with the Rev. Gillis Boyer officiating. Burial was in Providence Memorial Cemetery in Tallulah. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Florence Hargon, Tallulah; one son, Wallace Hargon, Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Lewis Maron, Tallulah, and Mrs. Thomas G. Smith, Oak Grove,; one sister, Mrs. C. O. Knight, Madison, Miss.; four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Maurice Ursery, Claude White, E. B. Towne, Marion Dale Beasley, Chris Hargon, and James Hargon.
