All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Jessie Wayne Harkey - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal July 19, 1995 Services for Jessie Wayne Harkey were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. John Rushing, officiating. Burial follow at Silver Cross Cemetery with Crothers Glenwood Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Harkey died Friday, July14, 1995, at Rayville Guest House in Tallulah. He was 76. He was a native of Gibsland, La., and had lived in Tallulah for 50 years. He owned and operated Wayne's Grocery in Tallulah. Mr. Harkey was a member of First Baptist Church of Tallulah. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Manning Harkey of Tallulah; a son, Jeffrey W. Harkey of Monroe; two sisters, Ruth H. Olvey of Tallulah and Kathryn H. Adams of Monroe; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were his nephews. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.
