Harvey - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 19, 1987 Funeral services for Mr. Herman D. Harvey, 77, were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12 at the First United Methodist Church in Lake Providence with Rev. Paul W. Carter and Rev. Wallace Blackwood of Ferriday officiating. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Cox Funeral Home. Mr. Harvey died Tuesday, Aug. 11 after a lengthy illness. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a retired farmer and president of he East Carroll Port Commission. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Harvey; one daughter, Mrs. Gwen Crews; three brothers, Robert M. Harvey and A. L. (Mutt) Harvey, both of Tallulah and David Harvey of Lake Providence; one sister, Mary Neil of Delta; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Luther ( Buddy) Harvey, Frank House, David Harvey Jr., Mike Harvey, Mark Harvey, Junior Ramsey, David Frith and Danny Frith. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
