All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Margaret Gibson Harvey - Madison Parish, Louisiana MARGARET HARVEY Mrs. Margaret Gibson Harvey, wife of J. N. Harvey, Sr., clerk of court for Madison parish, died Sunday night in the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Miss., from injuries she suffered when she was struck 17 days before by an automobile on the streets of Jackson. She was hit by a car driven by a student of Mississippi College, Clinton, Miss., and it was claimed the accident was unavoidable. Mrs. Harvey, accompanied by Mr. Harvey, was crossing the street at the time and the youth claimed that he was unable to see them on account of rain. Mrs. Harvey was 71 years of age and a native of Madison parish. Funeral services were held at three o'clock Monday afternoon from the home in Tallulah, with the Rev. George A. A. Tocher, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery here. Besides her husband, Mrs. Harvey is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Shelby McCaffrey of New Orleans, and a son, J. N. Harvey, Jr., of Baton Rouge. From Vicksburg Evening Post, November 18, 1940 INJURIES FATAL TO WELL KNOWN TALLULAH WOMAN Mrs. Harvey Had Lived In Madison Parish Many Years TALLULAH, La., Nov. 18-Mrs. Margaret Gibson Harvey, wife of J. Noland Harvey, who is clerk of the court in Madison parish, died last night in a hospital at Jackson, Miss., of injuries she sustained October 31 when struck by an automobile. Mrs. Harvey had lived in Madison parish for many years. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Shelby H. McCaffery of New Orleans; one son, J. N. Harvey, Jr., of Baton Rouge, and a grandson, J. N. Harvey, III. Funeral services were scheduled this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home, with the Rev. George A. A. Tocher, rector of Trinity Episcopal church, officiating. Interment will be in the Silver Cross cemetery.
