H. Harvey Dies Unexpectedly at Veterans Hospital in Jackson Last Thursday; Services Held On Friday Funeral services for William Henry Harvey, 74, who died unexpectedly in the Veterans Hospital Jackson, Miss., last Thursday were held here at 3 p.m. last Friday in the St. Edwards Catholic Church with the Rev. William Hopp officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Mr. Harvey was born at Omega in Madison Parish and had lived most of his life in Tallulah. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and was a Veteran Service Officer, having retired in 1959. He served as an officer of the American Legion for 20 years and was a member of the Forty and eight. He was also a member of the Lions Club and had formerly served as fire chief of Tallulah. Mr. Harvey is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sadie Cox Harvey; a son, Will Harvey, Jr., Yazoo City, Miss., a grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Johnson of Shreveport, and Mrs. E. W. Cook of Jackson, Miss., and a number of nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were R. G. Waugh, John B. O'Shea, Maurice Ursery, Woodrow Cagnolatti, W. P. Sevier, John C. Stocks, Lloyd Gordy and Jesse Anderson. Honorary pallbearers were all friends of Mr. Harvey.
