All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Madison Hattaway - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, June 28, 1979 Funeral services for Madison Hattaway, were held Monday in Parkview Baptist Church in Tallulah with the Revs. Bobby Brown and Lester Xxxxon officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Hattaway died Friday after a short illness. He was a native of Farmerville, a resident of Tallulah for 35 years, employed with the Tallulah Police Department as captain for 14 years, constable for the past three years, a member of Municipal Peace Officers Association and Louisiana Peace Officers Association, member of Parkview Baptist Church, veteran of Korean War and a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Leona Hattaway of Tallulah; a son, Eddie "Brother" Hattaway of Tallulah; two daughters, Mrs. Pat Cobb and Mrs. Jane Ferguson, both of Tallulah; five brothers, Rouie Hattaway of Lake Providence, Wilbur Hattaway of Tallulah, J. M. Hattaway of Pasadena, Texas, Orian Hattaway of Transylvania and Loyd Hattaway of Vicksburg, Miss. ; a sister, Mrs. Betty Neumann of Tallulah; two grandsons, Bonney Cobb and Patrick Cobb, both of Tallulah. Pallbearers were William Givens, Buford White, Billy Ray Jones, Marty White, John Edward Baker, Sammie Byrd, James McDonald and Carl Williamson.
