Hattaway - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal July 20, 1994 Mr. Wilber G. Hattaway of Tallulah died Saturday, July 16, 1994 at his residence. He was 59. Services for Hattaway were held at 3 p.m., Monday, July 18, 1994 at Parkview Baptist Church in Tallulah. Rev. James Messer officiated. Burial followed at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers Glenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Hattaway was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church. Mr. Hattaway lived in Tallulah for the past 47 years. He was a merchant of two stores, Shop-A-Minute in Tallulah and Richmond. Survivors include his wife; Verda Kindrix Hattaway of Tallulah; two daughters Susan Hill of Tallulah and Michelle Peterson of Ridgeland, Miss.; one son; Gary Hattaway of Tallulah; one sister; Betty Neumann of Tallulah; one brother Lloyd Hattaway of Vicksburg. Pallbearers were John Trichell, Charles McKinney, James McDonald, Jimmy Hattaway, Bruce Tucker, Marice Machen, Carl Williamson and Lloyd Moore. Honorary pallbearer was Sammie Byrd.
