All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Augusta Slack Hebert - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 9, 1969 Mrs. Hebert Dies Here At Age 92 Mrs. Augusta Slack Hebert, 92, died yesterday morning, January 8, in the Madison Parish Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Hebert was born in Monroe and moved to Delta at the age of two. She was the daughter of the late Judge and Mrs. A. L. Slack and the widow of Alfred M. Hebert. Mrs. Hebert was a faithful member of the Methodist Church, a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service and was organist of the United Church for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Madison Parish Garden Club and was a charter member of the Tallulah Book Club. She is survived by one son, Clyde H. Hebert, Jacksonville, Florida; two brothers, Stewart Slack of Shreveport and Torbert Slack of Lake Charles; one brother-in-law, O. D. Bratton of Memphis; one grandson, Richard B. Powell; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a. m. at the Methodist Church under the direction of Old Southern Mortuary with Rev. Clark Bell officiating. Pallbearers are E. B. Towne, W. P. Cagnolatti, F. M. Magee, N. A. White, Wayne Harkey and J. W. Huckabay. Honorary Pallbearers; John Frank Olvey, Dr. H. S. Provine, C. E. Hester, Lucian Farr, J. Louis Tonore, Jim Sevier, and Barton Sevier.
