W. (Grace Purnell) Hendrix, 80, died Thursday in Colorado after a long illness. Funeral services conducted by the Rev. McKeithen were held in Columbia Saturday. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah Mrs. Hendrix spent most of her in life Tallulah and taught in public schools. After moving to Columbia she was Assistant Director of the Department of Public Welfare in Caldwell Parish for many years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Thomas Edgar Hendrix of Greeley, Colorado; a daughter, Mrs. R. L. (Agnes H.) Roy of Healdsburg, California, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
