Henson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 10, 1980 Funeral services for Hersel D. Henson were held Monday in Tallulah First Baptist Church with the Revs. Xxxx Johnson and Crawford officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home in Tallulah. Mr. Henson died Sunday in his home after a long illness. He was a Rayville native, a 20-year Tallulah resident, a Madison Parish deputy sheriff, a member of the Louisiana Peace Officers Association, the Louisiana Sheriffs Association and the Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Xxxx Henson of Tallulah; a son, Andy Henson of Tallulah; a daughter, Jennie Henson of Tallulah; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Lee Henson of Rayville; three brothers, Bill Henson of Belle Chasse, Earl Henson of Harvey and Hulet Henson of Epps; two sisters, Mrs. Vivian Cleary of Monroe and Mrs. Nadine Bumpus of Prairieville; and a grandson. Pallbearers were Lamar Clack, Donald Clack, James Martin, Buck Mercer, Tommy Jobe, David Johnson, Freddie Helton and Jerry Hicks. Honorary pallbearers were Madison Parish Sheriff's Office employees and local law enforcement officers.
