Hetland - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 8, 1957 Services For E. G. Hetland Held Saturday Final rites for Edward G. Hetland were held Saturday afternoon at 2 p. m. at the First Methodist Church with Rev. William F. Mayo officiating. Interment followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Mr. Hetland, age 68, died Thursday in the Madison Parish Hospital. He was a farmer and a retired school bus driver. A native of Clear Lake, Iowa, he had lived in the Willow Bayou community for the past 19 years and was a member of the Methodist Church and Woodman of the World. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Florence Wolfe Hetland; a son, James Hetland; a daughter, Mrs. Clarence E. White, all of Tallulah; three brothers, Tariel Hetland of Marysville, Calif., William Hetland of Denver, Colo., and John Hetland of Clear Lake, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Howard Crozier of Port Wayne, Wis.; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Robert Williams, Arley Cox, Walter Erickson, Edward Palmby, J. W. Ellis, Billy Frith, Manfred Gustafson and Charles Arneson.
