All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ George Clinton Hill - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 4, 1976 Funeral services for George Clinton Hill, 69, of Portersille, Calif., were held Xxxxday at 2 pm. in the Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shields officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Hill died last Sunday at his home in California after a brief illness. He was a native of Arkansas and lived California for the past 5 years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hill of Tulare, Cal.; Iwo sons, Thomas David Hill of Alexandria and George Elvis Hill of Tallulah; one daughter, Mrs. Corine Swayze of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Floyd Hill of Dallas, Tex., and Hugh Hill of Georgia; five sisters, Mrs. Lilly Banburg of Battle Creek, Mich., Mrs. Sybil Shields of Oklahoma, Mrs. Clover Dunn and Mrs. Nita Hall, both of California, and Mrs. Louise Shorts of Mt. Ida, Ark.; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Pallbearers were Ronnie Bryant, Earl Bryant, Austin Bryant, Mac McCarty, Larry Jones and Sonny Broadway.
