Hill - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 31, 1977 Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday for John M. Hill, 72, of Tallulah in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery. He died Wednesday at the Delta Haven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Mr. Hill was a native of North Carolina and had been a resident of Tallulah for past 24 years. He was a retired employee of the Chicago Mill and Lumber Company. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hill of Tallulah; three sons, J. D. and Jerry Hill, both of Tallulah, and Clarence Hill of Michigan; three daughters, Mrs. Lois Finlayson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Lela Jane Crowley of Shreveport and Mrs. Katherine Bundryage of Michigan; one brother, Clarence E. Hill of El Paso, Tex.; four sisters, Mrs. Mazel Causby of North Carolina, Mrs. Lyndall Hill of Spindale, N.C., Mrs. Eugenia Daniels of North Carolina, Mrs. Juanita Holloway of Georgia; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Carl Griffin, Richard Marshall, Hersel Henson, Bradford Williams, Danny Sanders, Madison Hattaway, J. W. Hellums and Kenneth Parks.
