Hodge Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal December 27, 1995 Funeral services for Mr. Charles H. Hodge Sr., age 78, of Tallulah, were held Tuesday, Dec. 26, 1995, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Ebbie McGee officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Hodge died Sunday, Dec. 24, in the Vicksburg Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Union Parish, La., and had lived in Madison Parish for 65 years. He was a farmer and a deacon of Mound Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Clara Tower Hodge of Tallulah; three sons, Charles Hodge Jr. of Houston, Texas, Ronnie Hodge of Port Gibson, Miss., and Donald Hodge of Tallulah; three daughters, Gloria Busby of Tallulah, Louise Acuff and Jan Bassett, both of Vicksburg; one sister, Inez Sutherlin of Crowville, La. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His sons served as pallbearers.
