All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Amy Holmes - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal February 3, 1972 Miss Amy Holmes Succumbs at age 94 Miss Amy Holmes, 94, of Tallulah, died at her residence after a brief illess. Services were held at 2 p. m. at the Presbyterian Church the Rev. Nat Heeth officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery. A lifelong resident of Madison Parish, Miss Holmes was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Tallulah Book Club and the Madison Parish Garden Club. Survivors include four cousins, Mrs. Kate Stone Emmanuel of Iowa Park. Tex., Mrs. Patricia Wyatt of Irving, Tex., Mr. David Emmanuel of College Park, Ga., and Mrs. Virginia Stone Haskett of San Gabriel. Calif. Pallbearers were John Simpson, Carroll Crow, Dr. John Q. Anderson, W. Z. Adams, Don Belott and W. W. Ziegler.
