All rights reserved. ************************************************ Wilmer Hudson Howell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, February 25, 2005 MONROE - Wilmer Hudson Howell died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was 91. Born in Carthage, Mr. Howell had lived in Jackson for a number of years and was a resident of Monroe. He graduated from Mississippi State College in 1938 and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army Reserves. He served in World War II, retiring as a full colonel in 1973. Mr. Howell retired in 1976 as a certified public accountant. He was preceded in death by his only child, Margaret Ellen Howell. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lela Lawrence Howell; and nieces, nephews and other relatives. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 today until the service.
