Reverend Henry E. Hudson, Sr. was born to the union of the late Reverend James Hudson, Jr. and Rosetta Hudson on July 30, 1947. He received the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized at an early age. He served as president of the West Carroll Baptist Association and pastor of New Bethany B. C. (Darnell, LA), Bethlehem B.C. and Mercy Seat B.C. (Tallulah, LA), and Mt. Abel B.C. (Mound, LA) until his death on November 1, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his father, one sister, Gloria and one brother Harvey.

He leaves to cherish fond memories three sons: Michael (Shontae), Henry, Jr., and Timothy; two daughters Angela Horne (James) and Kasity (Glenn); 11 grandchildren; his mother, Rosetta; six brothers: John, Sr., Willie, Benny, Robert, Huey, and Darren; three sisters Brenda, Linda, and Rosa; two uncles T.W. Hudson (Ruby Lee) and Willie Jackson (Victoria) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and church family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Sunday, November 6, 2011, at Greater One Christian Fellowship, 125 Cook Rd., Delhi, LA.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
