Hughston - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, June 16, 1983 Services for Mrs. Rosalind R. Hughston, 91, were at 11 a.m. at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Tallulah with Father Voorhies officiating. Burial was in Lake Providence Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mrs. Hughston died Wednesday in Mercy Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg, Miss., after an illness. She as a native of Alsatia and resident of Tallulah for many years. She was a retired schoolteacher and a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church. Survivors include one son, John Edward Hughston of Mandeville; two sisters, Mrs. C. F. O'Sullivan of Castroville, Texas and Mrs. A. R. Muhl of Shreveport; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jim Gilfoil, Pat Gilfoil, Bill Gilfoil, Jim Henry Gilfoil, Edgar Lancaster Jr., Elton Everett, Johnny O'Shea and Boone Halbach. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Fund or to St. Edwards Catholic Church.
