L. Hughston were notified Tuesday night that their son, Pfc. Sidney Hughston, was killed in action on the European front October 8. He had been overseas since June serving with the Infantry under General Patton. Sidney was born in Eudora, Ark., in 1922. He was graduated from Tallulah High School and at the time of his induction was a junior at L. S. U. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Surviving are his parents, and two brothers, Lt. John E. Hughston of Oklahoma and Ensign T. L. Hughston, Jr., of the Navy, stationed at Philadelphia.
