Hunter - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 28, 1952 Joshua M. Hunter Dies Following Heart Attack Sun. Engineer For Chicago Mill Past 14 Years Joshua M. Hunter, 71-year-old resident of Tallulah, died suddenly Sunday afternoon upon arrival at Madison Sanitarium. Madison Parish Coroner, Dr. E. Otis Edgerton said death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Hunter was released last week from the Delhi Clinic where he received treat for a heart ailment. A native of Moorefield, Arkansas Mr. Hunter has been a resident of this community the past 14 years. He was an engineer for Chicago Mill & Lumber Company here for the past 14 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock at the Delhi Baptist Church with Rev. C. S. Wroten, pastor of Crowville Baptist Church,officiating. Interment followed in the Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home Tallulah. Pallbearers were J. B. McKnight, Johnny Corbin, J. W. Monk, Marxxx Smith, Hubert Phillips and xxxx McCaa. Besides his wife, Mrs. Minnie Hunter, Tallulah, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Roberta xxxway, Houston, Texas ; one son, J. D. Johnson, Tallulah; step-daughter, Mrs. Gladys xxxey, Watsonville, Calif.; three brothers, George and Bob Hunter, of Delhi; Tom Hunter, of xxxps, Ark.; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
