Timothy Norman Hutson, 63, of Gluckstadt, MS died February 6, 2015 peacefully at his home after a lengthy illness. He was of Baptist faith.

 

"Tim" was born October 5, 1951 in Ferriday, LA to the late William Doyle Hutson Sr. and Ira Nell Norwood. Tim spent his younger years in Tallulah, LA until he moved to Madison County where he began his law enforcement career with the Flora Police Department and the Ridgeland Police Department. In 1972 he began working as a deputy sheriff under the late Sheriff Billy Noble until 1986. During his tenure, Tim became a well renowned deputy known for his hard work, dedication and ability to solve crime. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served with the United States Army from 1969 to 1972.Tim was a strong, honest man and a true leader. He was a loving son, husband, brother, father, grandfather, and uncle. He will greatly be missed by his family, friends and all that were blessed to know him.

 

Tim was preceded in death by his father, William Doyle Hutson Sr.; two brothers, William Doyle "Billy" Hutson Jr. and Michael Ellis "Mike" Hutson.

 

He is survived by his wife, Joy Hutson; two daughters, Kimberlie Hutson Pearson (Todd) and Nancy Elizabeth Hutson; two sons, Julius Edgar Hutson and Thomas Evan Hutson; two grandchildren Hannah Rebecca Pearson and Logan Edgar Hutson; mother, Ira Nell Gill; sisters, Pamela Hutson Harrell and Gail Green and many nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Breeland Funeral Home in Canton, MS from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Services will be Monday, February 9, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Breeland Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Jessamine Cemetery in Ridgeland, MS.

 

Pallbearers will be Lee Brock, Beau Grantham, Donovan Gerlach, Jeff Harrell, Chuck Page, Eddie Peterson, Michael Harrell, and Robert Peterson.
