All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Mamie Ivy - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 17, 1993 Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Ivy, 93, were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Scarf officiating. Burial was Saturday in East Haven Cemetery in Brookhaven, Miss. Mrs. Ivy died Wednesday at the Madison Parish Hospital. She was born in Lincoln County, Mississippi. She was an English teacher from 1943 until1968 and taught high school in Tallulah for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Tallulah. Survivors include one sister, Wisie Dickey of Brookhaven and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Gene Cox, Larry Dickey, Edwin Callender, Chuck Gilbert, Marvin Tatum and Les Tatum.
