Funeral Services were held preceding the burial at Montrose Baptist Church. Mrs. Earline Jackson, his wife, reported that he arose some time after four o'clock Wednesday morning, picked up a gun and said he was going to kill some mocking birds in a Chinaberry tree as they had been disturbing him. When he did not come back into the house after making a shot, Mrs. Jackson said she went out to see about him, and found that he had been shot himself. Mr. Jackson was engaged in farming, owning his own place. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Faye Frazier and three sons, Andrew Jackson, now in the U. S. Army, and Robert and Lloyd, both of Tallulah.
