O. Jackson Dies Monday Night At A Vicksburg Hospital Connected With Cattle Business 20 Years In This Area James Odell Jackson of Tallulah, died Monday night, March 17th at a Vicksburg hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 47 years of age. A native of Louisiana, Jackson moved to Madison Parish twenty years ago, and had been engaged in the cattle business during that time. Several years ago he entered the grocery business, and operated a grocery store on West Green Street prior to his death. He was a member of the Tallulah Methodist Church, and Woodmen of the World. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, March 19th at the Methodist Church at 2:30 o'clock with the pastor, Rev. A. A. McKnight, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Shirley Briggs, pastor of the Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Pallbearers were J. B. Massey, J. P. McClure, Jack Allen, Albert Walker, I. C. Byrd and Floyd McCready. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alma Mae Jackson; his mother, Mrs. J. T. Jackson, Tallulah; one sister, Mrs. Marcell White, also of Tallulah.
