James - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 7, 1924 Mr. Sam H. James, for a long time a resident of Madison Parish, and the owner of probably the best pecan orchard in the South, died at his home Tuesday of last week, and the remains were taken to Port Gibson where they were buried. Mr. James was a highly educated man, at one time being the owner of the Journal and having a law office in Tallulah. He was a schoolmate of Woodrow Wilson and the former Kaiser of Germany.
